This layer is a georeferenced raster image of the historic paper map entitled: Gandavum amplissima Flandriae urbs a Julio Caesare condita, et a suo nomine Caio ut chronici Brabantini loquuntur dicta, fluminibus nobilis amoena, ampla, spaciosa, nunque conclusa, nusque suffocata. It was published by J. Janssonius in 1657. Scale [ca. 1:9,000]. Covers a portion of Gent, Belgium. Map in Latin. The image inside the map neatline is georeferenced to the surface of the earth and fit to the Belgian Lambert 1972 coordinate system.
