This layer is a georeferenced raster image of the historic paper map entitled: Map of the United States of North America, compiled from the latest and most authentic information by David H. Vance ; engraved by J. H. Young. It was published by Anthony Finley in 1825. Scale [ca. 1:2,000,000]. This layer is image 5 of 5 total images, representing the southwest portion of the six sheet source map. The image inside the map neatline is georeferenced to the surface of the earth and fit to the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence Albers (NAD 83) projected coordinate system. All map collar and inset information is also available as part of the raster image, including any inset maps, profiles, statistical tables, directories, text, illustrations, index maps, legends, or other information associated with the principal map.
