This layer is a georeferenced raster image of the historic paper map entitled: Nippon (Japan), 1880 : compiled from native maps and the notes of recent travellers, by R. Henry Brunton. It was published by Trubner and co. in 1880. Scale [ca. 1:558,800].The image inside the map neatline is georeferenced to the surface of the earth and fit to the Asia North Lambert Conformal Conic coordinate system.
