This layer is a georeferenced raster image of the historic paper map entitled: Carta plana da costa do Brazil, que contem das ilhas de S. Anna, the Aponta da Iuatinga, feita por Sîmão Antonio da Roza Pinheiro, para uzo da marinha portugueza ; A.I.M. Faria sc. It was published by S.A. Rosada Pinheiro in 1785. Scale [ca. 1:645,000}. The image inside the map neatline is georeferenced to the surface of the earth and fit to the SAD 69 / Brazil Polyconic projected coordinate system.
