This layer is a georeferenced raster image of the historic paper map entitled: Le canal royal de Languedoc, pour la ionction de l'ocean et de la mer Mediterranée : dedié et presenté à Mgrs. des Estats de Languedoc / par leur tres humble, tres obeissant, et devoué serviteur I. B. Nolin, Geographe ord. du Roy. It was published by Chez I. B. Nolin geographe, graveur, et imprimeur de S. A. R. Monsieur, sur le quay de l'Horloge du Palais a l'Enseigne de la Place des Victoires vers le Pont-Neuf in Ianvier 1697. Scale [ca. 1:150,000]. This layer is image 2 of 3 total images of the 3 sheet source map, representing the central portion of the map. The image inside the map neatline is georeferenced to the surface of the earth and fit to the European Datum 1950, Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM) Zone 31N projected coordinate system. All map collar and inset information is also available as part of the raster image, including any inset maps, profiles, statistical tables, directories, text, illustrations, index maps, legends, or other information associated with the principal map.
