This data comes from a variety of sources developed over the years including ESRI data, Department of Transportation, TIGER and counties. It is not meant to be precisely accurate and represents most of the major roads in California. This was developed by the CLN and GreenInfo Network. Primarily used for cartography. This dataset was developed/compiled for use in the San Francisco Bay Area Upland Habitat Goals Project and contributed to the developement of the Conservation Lands Network. Bay Area Open Space Council, GreenInfo Network, Conservation Lands Network, and San Francisco Bay Area Upland Habitat Goals Project. (2011). Major Roads: San Francisco Bay Area, California, 2011.
