Summary

This polygon shapefile represents the sub-regional boundaries of Uganda for 2006. These are the level 2 administrative boundaries (ADM2). The sub-regions are a level intermediate between the regions and the districts, but they are not a partition of the country; there are no sub-regions in Central, and a few districts elsewhere don't fall under any sub-region. These data are intended for researchers, students, policy makers and the general public for reference and mapping purposes, and may be used for basic applications such as viewing, querying, and map output production.
