Summary
This point shapefile contains the cities and towns boundaries in the Leninabad region of the Tajik Soviet republic. Leninabad was an administrative region of the Tajik S.S.R. Populations from the 1989 soviet census are included for each city. The name of the region was formally changed in 1991. This dataset is intended for researchers, students, and policy makers for reference and mapping purposes, and may be used for basic applications such as viewing, querying, and map output production, or to provide a basemap to support graphical overlays and analysis with other spatial data.
