For some countries and regions, there may be parts where data have not been developed. National/Regional version of Global Map data was to be updated in about five-year cycle on the basis of resolutions of an ISCGM meeting. To know about the year data were updated and about data developers, please refer to metadata attached to each data. Depending on the period the data were prepared, they were developed in line with two different specifications, namely, version 1 in VPF and BIL formats, and version 2 in GML and BIL formats. This layer is presented in the WGS84 coordinate system for web display purposes. Downloadable data are provided in native coordinate system or projection.

    Summary: This line shapefile represents the coastline of New Zealand. The Global Map New Zealand version 2 airport and road were developed from the Topo500 data 2011 at 1:500,000 scale. Railroad station and railroad were developed from Topo250 data 2012 at 1:250,000 scale. Ferry route was developed from the Topo50 data 2012 at 1:50,000 scale. The Global Map New Zealand version 2 built up area was developed from the S-57 data 2012 at 1:90,000-1:350,000 scale. The Global Map New Zealand version 2 coast line, political boundary line and political boundary area were developed from the Topo500 data 2012 at 1:500,000 scale. The Global Map New Zealand version 2 miscellaneous, aqueduct, water course and inland water were developed from the Topo500 data 2011 at 1:500,000 scale.     Summary: This layer is a georeferenced raster image of the historic paper map entitled: Wards & precincts, Boston Redevelopment Authority. It was published by Boston Redevelopment Authority ca. 1980. Scale [ca. 1:19,000]. The image inside the map neatline is georeferenced to the surface of the earth and fit to the Massachusetts State Plane Coordinate System, Mainland Zone (in Feet) (Fipszone 2001). All map collar and inset information is also available as part of the raster image, including any inset maps, profiles, statistical tables, directories, text, illustrations, index maps, legends, or other information associated with the principal map. This map shows features such as roads, railroads, drainage, selected landowners, city ward and precinct boundaries, and more. Includes also inset of Harbor Islands.This layer is part of a selection of digitally scanned and georeferenced historic maps from the Harvard Map Collection. These maps typically portray both natural and manmade features. The selection represents a range of originators, ground condition dates, scales, and map purposes.
