  1. Title: Impervious Areas, Cayuga Lake watershed, 2003

    Contributors:

Summary: This dataset delineates impervious surfaces within the Cayuga Lake Watershed. However, the current dataset is limited to Cayuga County. These polygons were digitized from aerial imagery from 2003, using a combination of automatic and manual methods. This geographic dataset was developed by the Cayuga Lake Watershed Network as part of a larger project, in conjunction with Dr. Douglas Haith and Cornell University, to model nutrient loading in the Cayuga Lake watershed. The model used is the Generalized Watershed Loading Function (Haith and Shoemaker, 1987). Haith, D.A. and L.L. Shoemaker, 1987. Generalized Watershed Loading Functions for Stream Flow Nutrients. Water Resources Bulletin, 23(3), pp. 471-478.

  2. Title: Sewer Systems Extent, Cayuga Lake watershed, 2007

    Contributors:

Summary: This dataset contains polygons showing the extent all sewer systems in the Cayuga Lake Watershed as of September 2007, based upon data provided by individual municipalities in the watershed. 471-478.

  3. Title: Residental Wastewater Systems, Cayuga Lake watershed, 2007

    Contributors:

Summary: This point dataset identifies all residential structures in the Cayuga Lake Watershed, and indiciates whether it is served by a municipal sewer system or is expected to have an on-site waste management system. TIGER Census 2000 data was used to estimate the number of individuals per residential structure. 471-478.

  4. Title: Land Use and Land Cover, Cayuga Lake watershed, 2004

    Contributors:

Summary: The dataset depicts land use/cover in the Cayuga Lake Watershed. This geographic dataset was constructed using a multi-resource approach. To map small scale land uses, high resolution aerial imagery available from the New York State Digital OrthoimageryProgram (NYSDOP) was interpreted by a trained GIS analyst according to a multi-tiered classification scheme similar to that used by Tompkins County, New York to map land use in 1995. To map large scale land uses and land cover types, two sets of Landsat Thematic Mapper images were analyzed. One set was analyzed by the USDA National Agricultural Statistics Service Research and Development Division, and published as the Cropland Data Layer for the state of New York. To distinguish between different forest cover types, Landsat-5 TM images were radiometrically and geographically corrected, and analyzed using a supervised classification procedure. These separate layers were overlayed to produce the final vector layer. 9. Title: PLSS Green Lake County, WI 2023

    Contributors:

Summary: This data represents public land survey system (PLSS) corners for Green Lake County, Wisconsin in 2023. [The E4 PLSS database, part of a multi-year effort, was created as a sub-project of the greater Version 8 Statewide Parcel Map Database Project (V8 Project), a collaboration between the Wisconsin Land Information Program, the State Cartographer’s Office, and county data contributors. More information about the Statewide Parcel Map Initiative can be found here. The E8 database contains a collection of all uniquely identifiable local-level PLSS data available in digital format, and aggregates that data into a standardized schema and format. It also includes section, quarter-section, and quarter-quarter-section level polygons. The construction of the PLSS corner locations contained within the database relies on the local level coordinate information. This unique aspect of the database, allows for an accurate representation of the on-the-ground location of the PLSS corners. Please complete the feedback survey form.Schema documentation can be found here.]

  17. Title: Data and Scripts for manuscript "Improving predictions of range expansion for invasive species using joint species distribution models and surrogate co-occurring species"

    Contributors:

Summary: Click "Visit Source" to download CSV data. This data can be used to replicate the results from the manuscript "Improving predictions of range expansion for invasive species using joint species distribution models and surrogate co-occurring species". Included are R scripts and occurence datasets for running Generalized Boosted Models (GBM) species distribution models for the invasive species Cardamine impatiens, Celastrus orbiculatus, and Humulus japonicus. Also included are R scripts for building spatially explicit species co-occurrence matrices used for running joint species distribution models (specifically gjam models) in for plant communities in Minnesota based on the MN DNR plant releve dataset with a focus on incorporating the invasive species Cardamine impatiens, Celastrus orbiculatus, and Humulus japonicus as well as a case study for the native species Smilacina racemosa. The exact spatial location of each releve has been changed to a gridded position in order to protect the exact location. Raw releve data must be obtained from the MN DNR. The data includes occurrence records for Cardamine impatiens, Celastrus orbiculatus, Humulus japonicus, and Smilacina racemosa downloaded from EDDMaps on 7 Sept 2020. Also included are spatially explicit species co-occurrence presence/absences matrices for Cardamine impatiens, Celastrus orbiculatus, Humulus japonicus, and Smilacina racemosa.
